Corporate Controller Position
Rank One Computing (ROC) is an employee-owned leading developer of computer vision based biometric and video analytic technologies. We are 50+ employees strong with a people-first culture, and we're looking to add a strong Controller to our team. Position Summary : We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Corporate Controller to lead and oversee the company's financial accounting and reporting functions. As a key member of the Finance leadership team, the Corporate Controller will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's transition to a public company. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls, with specific expertise in managing the complexities of public company requirements, including SEC reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and IPO readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation required. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role, preferably within a software development or SaaS company. Experience with public company reporting requirements, including SEC filings, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. Strong knowledge of GAAP, particularly ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) and ASC 350-40 (Internal-Use Software). Demonstrated experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Unanet, SAP, Oracle Financials) and financial reporting tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (advanced functions, pivot tables, data analysis). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related. Familiarity with various software development methodologies (e.g., Agile) and their impact on financial operations. Experience with due diligence processes for M&A activity. Prior experience with managing the transition from private to public company financial operations.
