Job Summary : As the leader of the accounting team, Controllers are in charge of closely monitoring a dealership's financial health. They typically maintain, manage, and analyze financial statements, payroll, budgets, tax compliance issues, and more.

- Compensation : $100,000 - $120,000 per year
Controller Responsibilities :
Oversee the financial and accounting system and personnelManage daily operations of the accounting department, cashiers and receptionsDesign, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffingReconcile the bank accounts for the dealership on a daily basisComplete all required reports for the corporate office on a regular basisPrepare financial statementsReview all financial statements and ledgers, and work with the accounting staff to clear up any discrepanciesPrepare all taxes and filing forms with the governmentMeet with the department managers to regularly review departmental financialsEnsure all human resources and payroll functions are operational and assist HR to handle employee issues as neededCross-train in all accounting positionsController Requirements :
3-5 years of previous dealership controller experience requiredStrong communications, customer service, leadership and organizational skillsExcellent analytical abilityHigh school diploma is necessary; college or advanced degree preferredProficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office applications or the equivalentExperience with dealership management softwareAmerican Motors is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
