Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Kalamazoo, Michigan 49048 Healthcare Setting : 4N Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit (46 beds) Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 24 / 2025 - End : 2 / 23 / 2026) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Nursing Shift : 3x12 hour nights (19 : 00 - 07 : 30), every other weekend & holiday required Estimated Weekly Salary : $1890-$1940 Charting System : Cerner Travel Nursing Requirement : Must live at least 50 miles from facility Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state license can be pending) Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry nursing experience (first-time travel nurses welcome) Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (pending certifications accepted) Experience with Cerner charting system COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) Ability to float to similar medical surgical units or affiliate hospitals Complete up to 8 hours of pre-start modules within 1 week of signing Nursing Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations in a fast-paced surgical / telemetry environment Manage a patient ratio of 6-7, including trauma, post-bariatric, post-abdominal, post-amputation, urological, and cardiac overflow cases Administer medications, monitor cardiac telemetry, and perform wound care and surgical drain management Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services Utilize Cerner for accurate and timely clinical documentation Maintain professional conduct and adhere to hospital policies Participate in rapid response / code teams as needed Float to qualified units or affiliate hospitals based on census and patient volume Take the next step in your travel nursing career and experience the best of Michigan healthcare jobs in Kalamazoo.
