Key Job Details – Tennessee Nursing Jobs Location : Johnson City, TN 37604 (East Tennessee healthcare jobs) Facility Setting : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Adult patient care Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 16 / 2025 – End : 2 / 15 / 2026) Estimated Weekly Salary : $2020-$2070 Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (18 : 30 - 07 : 00) or Night 4x12-Hour (18 : 30 - 07 : 00) Schedule : Rotating weekends and holidays Employment Type : Travel nurse, On-Site Orientation : 16 hours (non-billable) Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or stepdown nursing experience Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee (license in hand required at submission) AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Epic charting experience preferred Experience with patient ratios of 1 : 5 Permanent residence must be at least 100 miles from Johnson City hospital service area Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) Ability to complete compliance documents and drug testing within specified timeframes Facial hair must comply with CDC fit testing guidelines First-time travel nurses accepted PCU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the Progressive Care Unit Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias Administer blood products, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and insulin protocols Manage central lines, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and PICC lines Provide care for patients pre / post cardiac procedures and renal failure Participate in rapid response / code teams and interdisciplinary clinical support Float to other nursing units as required Support and educate nursing students alongside clinical care Maintain accurate documentation using Epic (preferred) Adhere to isolation precautions and infection control protocols Johnson City offers a thriving arts scene, friendly community, and easy access to beautiful parks and hiking trails.
