Construction Manager - Telecommunications
Description
Construction Manager reports into the Project Control Office and are employed in the support of new and renovation infrastructure projects for telecommunications circuits.
These projects consist of fiber circuits, microwave towers, antennas and site improvements. Construction Managers are expected to coordinate internal and external resources in the creation of standardized designs to architectures expectations, verification of completed work, the timely and safe completion of projects, delivery within budgetary constraints, and the transition of projects to the Operational support teams.
Job Duties
Roles reports to the Project Control Office.
Development and Management of project Delivery and Cost schedules for 1-10 projects
Regular interval progress reporting Progress reporting
Negotiating schedules and resolving late delivery issues
Creation of time cards,
Job Site Safety Enforcement
Identification of Issues and Risks on projects
Submission of PO Reqs and confirmation of delivery for invoicing purposes.
Escalation of issues to PCO
Radio Freq licensing
Permitting (When needed Internal resources)
Change management (IT CAB) when needed Permitting
Order and installation of radio, Network, Antenna & Line equipment
Verification of Alignment
Site turn up of equipment and Acceptance testing.
Coordination / Monitoring with 3rd Party Vendors (Reporting to PCO status)
NEPA Evaluations
Identification of Permitting needs using internal and external resources
Pouring of the foundations
Tower construction schedule
Shipment of Tower Steel to location
Delivery and setup of the onsite generators, DC Plants
Delivery and installation of Antenna & Line equipment
Monitoring of the Tower Build Schedules
Alarm Wiring
Decommissioning of the Old Towers, Buildings required.
Removal of disposal of old technologies
Minimum Qualifications :
3 years in the following :
Microsoft Project / PWA
Budget, forecast, and accruals
3rd vendor management
Contract bidding and negotiations
Civil Engineering design and oversight management
Project Management Principles
Construction purchasing
Construction standards and designs
Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate must exhibit the following :
