We are looking for a highly energetic, result oriented, passionate, and hands-on Sr. Project Manager with a desire to join a growing team. The person should be self-starter, adaptable with attentive to detail and able to work with minimal supervision.

The company seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead Outside Plant (OSP) construction projects for data center deployments. This role involves overseeing multiple projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in OSP construction, especially in fiber network deployment and data center infrastructure, and the ability to manage complex projects, foster team growth, and communicate effectively.

This position will work in close collaboration with project management and human resources to coordinate technician work force planning, resource dissemination and coordination, general oversight of field operations while providing technical direction to technicians, maintenance of safety standards, productivity, schedule, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and having a strong understanding of the union contract.

What You'll Do :

Lead project meetings and provide status updates to leadership and clients as necessary. Help negotiate scopes, timelines, and payment terms with OSP internal resources, contractors and vendors. Provide technical expertise and participate in pre-construction activities, including constructability reviews, scheduling, and potentially pre-bid input. Oversee technician manpower scheduling, union contract administration (layoffs / recalls), timecard reporting, and maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment. Collaborate with Project Managers (PMs) on man loading, budgeting, and material staging.

Oversee purchase orders and / or work orders. Manage a dynamic and complex supply chain inventory of materials and logistics.
  • Team Leadership and Development : Coach, mentor, and train site-based teams. Provide direction to supervisors, foreman, techs and subcontractors. Evaluate team performance.
  • Reporting, Costing, and Budget Management : Develop and implement reporting mechanisms to track progress, schedule adherence, costing, and budget performance. Perform regular budget reviews and strategize on resource allocation.
  • Risk Management and Mitigation : Conduct proactive risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies. Evaluate infrastructure to support future requirements and assist in mitigation strategies. Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Act as the primary interface for the client. Assist with city or other authority approval processes and permitting. Communicate effectively with leadership, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Safety & Compliance : Ensure job safety requirements are understood and implemented by all personnel and contractors, working with safety support. Strive for zero injuries, support foreman / leads with on-site safety meetings, review safety programs and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in startup meetings, and address and report safety hazards and incidents.
  • Technical Review & Mentorship : Review plans and specifications for constructability and scheduling issues. Understand project specifications, scope of work, drawing packages, estimates, and budget setup. Potentially assist PMs with quantity takeoffs and pricing estimates. Mentor and train other employees.
