The Foundation Program Specialist is responsible for assisting in the coordination and administering of the educational scholarship program. The Program Specialist will serve as the primary administrative point of contact with students, parents, counselors, and educational institutions. This position requires a collaborative, detail-oriented and self-motivated person who can manage multiple tasks and projects. This is a part-time role.
How You'll Shine :
- Outreach and Promotion : Help implement outreach strategies to promote the scholarship to eligible applicants.
- Application Management : Support managing the scholarship application process, ensuring applications and required documentation are received and reviewed for accuracy. Assist with the screening and timely evaluation of eligible applicants based on required criteria.
- Communication and Coordination : Work closely with educational institutions and serve as the primary administrative point of contact for communications with students, parents, school counselors / representatives, and university and college representatives. Schedule and host meetings with current and prospective students, parents, and guardians.
- Event Coordination : Assist with the coordination of scholarship award ceremonies with Travel + Leisure Co. leadership and other Company representatives, civic & school leaders, and community representatives.
- Record Maintenance : Maintain accurate and complete scholarship records for each scholarship recipient.
- Support and Mentorship : Provide ongoing support and guidance to scholarship recipients, including academic monitoring and mentorship opportunities.
- Program Evaluation : Provide assistance evaluating the scholarship program on an annual basis and provide improvements as needed to enhance the impact of the program. Other projects as assigned to improve the scholarship recipient experience.
Travel Requirements :
Local travel to schools, organizations, and community events - 40% travel time required.What You'll Bring :
Associate's degree in Education, Public Administration, or related field preferred.Experience with scholarship program managementEffective oral and written communication skills to interact with a broad spectrum of constituencies including community leaders, education representatives, parents, and students.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy required.Ability to complete multiple assignments within provided time constraints with minimal supervision.Self-starter who works well independently, but who also thrives in a team environment, sharing ideas and working collaboratively.Proven track record of managing programs, including application and selection processes.Bilingual in English and Spanish requiredMicrosoft Office SuiteOrganizational skills, time management, customer service1-3 years of experience in project / program coordination / management, or educational administration preferred.
