POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for accurately receiving and storing product delivered to the distribution center in a timely manner.

Properly unloads, verifies, sorts, and labels product in the distribution center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming shipment
• Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as forklift, conveyor, or sorting bins
• Assist with the receiving and unloading of goods to the receiving dock or proper staging area
• Verify goods received match purchase order or packing list
• Operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment in a professional and
• safe manner
• Assist in keeping warehouses clean and organized on a daily basis
• Observe and abide by all companys policy and safety regulations
• Receives product deliveries
• Records and checks quantity and quality of good received
• Delivers product to appropriate personnel insures all pathways are kept clear
• Assists in other departments as needed
• Wears personal protective Equipment as necessary for the job
• Other duties as assigned based on business needs or managements request

QUALIFICATIONS ( Education, Experience, & Skills required)

Education - High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and / or training;

or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Ability - Follows instructions and responds to management direction.

Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Must be able to recognize similarities and difference between words and between series of numbers.

Work Environment

This position operates in a warehouse environment, using standard equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, and forklift equipment.
