Composite Materials Staff Engineer role at GE Aerospace. The Composite Materials Staff Engineer demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. You will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
This role is embedded in a team of Composite Material Application Engineers focused on providing experience and mentorship to operate as efficiently as possible to deliver on business needs. A staff engineer is expected to make significant contributions to the business and industry in their areas of expertise. Typical programs involve material replacement and qualification in support of discontinued composite materials; manufacturing support to achieve quality and delivery goals; root cause and corrective action assessments for processes failing to meet safety, quality, or delivery targets; and documentation of standard work to streamline team efforts.
