Must-Have :

Experience with cardiac medications and infusions required.

Telemetry experience required.

Experience with high-acuity patient care necessary.

Description :

Position in a progressive care unit focused on cardiac step-down patients.

Shift is comprised of three 12-hour night shifts.

No call requirements are necessary for this position.

Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.

Holiday coverage is required for one holiday per contract.

Float may be required to other step-down or medical units as needed.

Travelers are permitted to call off two times per assignment.

Active licenses are required by the start date; pending licenses may be accepted.

Tele, cardiac medications, and infusion experience are prerequisites.

Care will involve patients with various conditions including heart failure and post-cardiothoracic surgery.

Experience interpreting cardiac rhythms is necessary.

Ability to manage high-flow nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management is essential.

Blood product administration and central line care management experience required.

The unit has a daily census of approximately 28 patients.

Team members include IV teams, respiratory services, and social services.

Candidate will care for patients requiring level 2 medication infusions.

Professional conduct is expected at all times during the assignment.
