Job description

Premier Medical Staffing Services is seeking a local contract nurse RN Long Term Acute Care for a local contract nursing job in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Job Description & Requirements

HIGHLIGHTS :

  • 48 or 36 hour assignment
  • BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift
  • ACLS Required Prior to First Shift (CIRH ONLY)
  • Minimum Two (2) Years Bedside Clinical Experience (Highly desired)
  • Assumes charge responsibility following orientation period as requested
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS :

  • Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission
  • Follows all hospital guidelines outlining standards of personal appearance, attendance and punctuality

  • The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed
  • The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees

  • Responsible for accurate, succinct and timely documentation
  • Participates in the patient rehabilitation program on an assigned unit
  • Initiates discharge planning on all patients from the day of admission
  • Communicates all pertinent information regarding changes in patient's status
  • Provides direction, training and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel
  • Provides for and assures personal and environmental safety
  • Positively contributes to the functioning of the unit
  • Maintains communication with manager and senior nursing staff
  • Identifies and initiates own professional growth
  • Prioritizes activities and plans for effective use of time and staff
  • Performs other duties as requested
