A Brief Summary of This Position
The primary responsibilities of this position are developing and leading the full range of indirect sourcing functions both domestically and internationally. Responsible for the development and execution of the company's supply chain, global procurement, and sourcing strategy, which includes establishing Valmont's supply playbook, supply processes, policies, and instructions; outsourcing; best cost country sourcing of indirect materials and services, and capital project procurement needs to support business unit objectives. Develops and leads a best-in-class function capable of delivering value in an efficient and effective manner.
Essential Functions
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate
Preferred Bachelor's with 7+ years of relevant experience or Associate's degree with 9+ years of relevant experience or 11+ years of relevant experience. Successful track record in Procurement / Supply Chain / Sourcing within the manufacturing industry. Credible knowledge and expertise across a wide range of indirect spend categories. Well versed in CAPEX planning, sourcing and project execution. Solid knowledge of supply chain and purchasing processes and management. Proven experience in hiring, coaching, and leading a high-performing teams. Proven experience developing and implementing policy, procedure, and process. Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with all levels of management to include C-suite. Project management skills to deliver business unit and company objectives on time and under budget. Ability to adapt and operate in a changing environment. Experience in negotiation of contracts and agreements. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Ability to travel, both domestic and international, up to 50%.
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications
Master's in business administration, supply chain management or engineering. Experience in sourcing and supply chain for MRO, utilities (electricity and natural gas), CAPEX.
