Telemetry RN Job Details – Asheville, NC

Location : Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina nursing jobs)

Unit : D2 – Inpatient Overflow (Medical Surgical / Step-down)

Assignment Type : Travel RN, On-Site

Start Date : September 29, 2025

End Date : December 29, 2025

Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract

Shift : 12 Hour Days (6 : 45 AM – 7 : 15 PM)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Dress Code : Navy and / or white top, navy bottom, or all white scrubs

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Telemetry, Progressive Care, or Medical Surgical nursing

Telemetry nursing competency

Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

Strong clinical skills, compassionate, patient-focused, and a collaborative team player

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical surgical and step-down patients in an inpatient overflow unit

Monitor and interpret telemetry for all patients (hardwired bedside monitors)

Manage patient ratios of 1 : 5 (may stretch to 1 : 6 based on acuity)

Care for short-stay patients with rapid turnover (target length of stay : 24 hours)

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including charge nurses, CNAs, and fellow RNs

Accurately document patient care and assessments using Cerner EMR

Float to other units as required to support hospital staffing needs
