Are you a good listener? Do you want to create a safer, kinder community for survivors of sexual assault? Become a Hospital Response Volunteer Advocate!
Firefly Children & Family Alliance is currently seeking a Hospital Response Volunteer Advocate . This opportunity will take 6-hour on-call shifts responding to local hospitals in Indianapolis to support survivors during a sexual assault forensic exam.
Volunteers listen, believe and empower survivors during the exam. This program requires a 6 month commitment.
There is no experience required for this opportunity! All training will be provided.
Responsibilities :
- Will have on-call six hour shifts responding to five local hospitals in Indianapolis
- Shifts occur around the clock every day of the week- we'll work with your schedule!
- Phone calls will be received via personal cell phone. Volunteers only need to travel to the hospital if they receive a call.
- Will support survivors age 14 and up
Requirements :
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must be able to pass background checks
