Premier Managed IT Service Company that delivers IT products and services to small businesses in the United States is looking to add an experienced, on-site Help Desk Engineer in New York for one of our clients. This position will provide growth opportunities to other senior technical client-facing roles of our firm and requires a proactive, hard-working individual with a can-do attitude and the ability to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced environment. Everyday Duties
Respond to incoming calls and e-mails regarding information technology problems, using help desk software.Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applicationsPerform basic network administration tasks, such as setting up new user accounts and granting access to network resources.Communicate with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.Provide superior service and customer supportDiagnose and perform on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, and tasksQualifications
Previous help desk experienceGood interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skillsHighly self-motivated and directedAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasksExperience with Windows desktop and server operating systems, including Windows 2016-2022 and Windows 10 - Windows 11Experience with Mac OS X Configuration and troubleshootingKnowledge of Microsoft Active DirectoryKnowledge of computer hardwareGood understanding of the organization's goals and objectivesExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentAbility to absorb and retain information quicklyAbility to present ideas in user-friendly languageProven analytical and problem-solving abilitiesCustomer service orientationAbility to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as requiredEducation Requirements : Bachelor's degree
