Offset Platemaker - Hub

Quad in Sussex is currently looking for a full-time platemaker to join our team! The Spoke Offset Plate maker is responsible for prioritizing bent plate surfaces, organizing bent plates and collecting all paperwork / color for press. Plate maker will also inspect all plates for quality issues, troubleshooting equipment, general maintenance, 6S, and working with internal and external customers to support the printing process. The hours for this role are 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, 3 days one week, 4 days the next. Every 4 months we switch from days to nights and nights to days.

Key Responsibilities :

• Bending plate surfaces for all press platforms
• Maintain platemaking equipment Including but not limited to daily and weekly processor maintenance
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as they arise
• Verifying plates for Quality
• Track press tasks through the production process
• Communicating with internal and external vendors
• Document and track all internal and external service orders of breakdowns
