Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator to provide advanced IT support for classified operations in a secure government environment. This role requires a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and involves supporting the full lifecycle of IT systems, including planning, deployment, operations, troubleshooting, and system upgrades.
The selected candidate will join a collaborative team supporting mission-critical defense programs, working alongside both military and civilian personnel to maintain and optimize secure IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement hardware, software, and systems specifications and configurations.
- Apply patches, updates, and compliance fixes to maintain system security.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server (2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016), and client systems across multiple networks.
- Provide user support for account management, enterprise applications, and peripheral devices.
- Collaborate with Information System Security Officers (ISSO) for secure data transfers and media creation.
- Manage and coordinate user account creation, access, and modifications.
- Perform system maintenance and other IT-related tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
US Citizenship (mandatory due to clearance requirements).Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility , with willingness to undergo a counterintelligence polygraph.DoD 8570 IAT Level II (or higher) certification .Education / Experience :High School Diploma + 10 years of IT experience, -OR-
Bachelor's Degree in a related field + 8 years of IT experience.Strong technical expertise in one or more areas such as :Microsoft Windows Server
Red Hat Enterprise LinuxVirtualization (Hyper-V, VMware, Xen)Enterprise networking, firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systemsForensic analysis, vulnerability assessment, and scriptingPreferred Skills
Hands-on experience with : BMC Footprints, WSUS, Lumension, Bitlocker, SQL Server 2012, TomCat, IIS, and Windows Server 2012R2 / 2016.Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., LogRhythm), ACAS / Nessus / SCAP, and role-based access control (SELinux, AppArmor, etc.).Knowledge of video teleconferencing, VOIP systems, Oracle / MS SQL database security, and Apache / IIS web server security.Previous defense industry experience working in government or military environments.Why Relocate to Niceville, FL?
