Building Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Building Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural upkeep and the operation of a building's various systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. They perform both reactive repairs and proactive, preventative maintenance to ensure the building is safe, efficient, and compliant with codes. Their duties include conducting regular inspections, responding to maintenance requests, and sometimes managing external contractors for larger projects.

Key Responsibilities :

• System maintenance and repair : They operate, inspect, and repair all types of building systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Preventative maintenance : They implement and execute programs to identify and fix potential problems before they cause system failures.
• Inspections and compliance : They regularly inspect life safety systems like fire extinguishers and emergency lighting to ensure they are up to code and in working order.
• Problem-solving : They are skilled at diagnosing problems, finding cost-effective solutions, and responding to emergency situations in a timely manner.
• Project management : They may oversee renovation or construction projects, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and help with budget estimates.
• Record keeping : They maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inspection logs.
