About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (07 : 00 - 19 : 30)

Experience : 4+ years in Operating Room, Level 2 trauma experience required, Level 1 trauma experience preferred

License : Compact or state license required

Certifications : BLS, CNOR preferred

Must-Have :

4 years of experience in the Operating Room

BLS certification

Level 2 trauma experience

Trauma experience is required

Local travelers within 75 miles are not accepted

Description :

Candidates must have 4 or more years of experience in the Operating Room.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Level 2 experience is mandatory, with Level 1 experience preferred.

Candidates must be well-rounded and able to circulate a variety of cases.

Trauma experience is required.

Weekends are included in the schedule.

Candidates must be prepared to handle high-acuity cases and various surgical procedures.

Daily census is between 75-100 patients.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.

Patient age groups span from neonates to geriatrics.

Compliance with infection control, fire safety, and laser safety protocols is required.

Candidates should have experience with a range of surgical procedures, including but not limited to, hysterectomy, cholecystectomy, and spinal fusion.

This position may involve floating to various units within the facility.

Candidates should be prepared for potential call shifts according to department needs.

Prior charge nurse experience is advantageous.

References from previous employers may be required.
