Job Title : Patient Appointment Coordinator
Location : North Scottsdale, Arizona. In May 2024, the department will relocate to Deer Valley (specifically 19th Ave and Deer Valley)
Compensation : Starting at $18.00 Hourly (depending on experience)
Employment Type : Full-Time Employment with Benefits (Medical, Life, Dental, Vision, and 401K)
Schedule : On-Site Monday through Friday. Clinic hours 7 : 00 a.m.- 6 : 00 p.m. for an 8-hour shift
No weekends, no nights, and no major holidays!
JOB DESCRIPTION : Patient Appointment Coordinator (North Scottsdale)
Exciting opportunity to work in beautiful Scottsdale! We are an advanced, integrative medical center utilizing cutting-edge, innovative technology in the treatment of cancer & chronic diseases.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and compassionate Patient Appointment Scheduler to successfully coordinate the daily schedules of patients for multiple in-house physicians and IV therapies.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Schedule and re-schedule up to 60+ patients a day
- Review daily treatment updates
- Coordinate consent form process
- Provide timely communication within the clinic to staff, doctors, and patients
- Resolve daily scheduling issues
- Coordinate up to five physicians' daily appointments, ensuring ample time for exam and procedure completion
- Provides customer service for patients and their families
- Act as a resource to proactively resolve scheduling conflicts
Requirements / Qualifications
- Possess the cognitive skills necessary to understand complex medical terminology, instructions from physicians on patient care / preparation, and proper handling of medical records
- Must have superb customer service at all times
- Experience using Google Docs, Excel and Practice Fusion is a plus
- Must be able to speak professionally and communicate effectively at all times
- Must be able to learn and assimilate information rapidly
- Must have an ownership spirit who wants to excel at their position
- Must have a go-with-flow attitude and understand that things are going to change that is why we need this specialty position!
- Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment
- Must be detail oriented
- Needs to be able to work in a team, but also work well as an individual
- Be able to multitask and meet deadlines
- Must be able to self-motivate
