Senior Database Engineer

A company is looking for a Senior Database Engineer to manage database architecture and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Own the architecture, availability, and performance of Aurora MySQL clusters

Design and maintain strategies for database obfuscation and replication

Troubleshoot complex performance issues and improve inefficient queries

Required Qualifications

5+ years of DBA / DBE experience with large-scale relational databases

Deep knowledge of MySQL / Aurora internals and AWS-native database solutions

Familiarity with Laravel or PHP-based ORM query behavior

Experience managing databases with tens or hundreds of billions of rows

Strong Bash scripting and automation mindset
