We seek for our 5-star hospitality client an Intermediate Interior Designer, either technically focused or selections focused. The Interior Designer is responsible for collaborating with the VPs of Design, Directors of Design, and Senior Designers in the creation, execution, and documentation of a project’s comprehensive interiors scheme, involving the coordination of interior architecture, space programming, space planning, FF&E, and color / materials. This role supports the Directors of Design with the design, selection, and specification of all furnishings, fixtures, and finishes (custom or commercially available) and is responsible for understanding the creative, technical, budgetary, operational, and design document coordination accountability for all facets of the interior FF&E package. The Intermediate Interior Designer supports the development and interdisciplinary coordination of all design documents and specifications to ensure the highest quality of design representation for use and coordination by the entire project team.
Qualifications
Bachelors / Professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction, or Project Management from an accredited academic institution5+ years of design and / or project management and / or experience with leading design teams, including 5+ years of experience in significant hospitality and / or entertainment-related design projectsA portfolio of work demonstrating abilitiesRecently completed (within the past 24 months) significant resort hospitality projects through construction administration with field and project closeout experienceInternational project and / or client experience preferredFour and / or Five Star resort hospitality or residential experience preferredStrong previous peer consultant relationships based on successful project experience and trust preferredNCARB Architectural registration and / or NCIDQ Interior Design accreditation preferredProficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, AutoCAD 2018 or newer, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, Hand Sketches, Microsoft Office, REVIT 2018 or Newer, Space PlanningIntermediate proficiency in AutoDesk Form IT, Procore / BIM360 / PlanGrid / Other, Sketchup, Spexx or SimilarExperience with Consultant Management, Master-Planning, Microsoft Project / PrimaveraDesign sensitive, have finely tuned aesthetic sensibilities, and have a broad design vocabulary in order to support high-profile clients, high-caliber design teams, and high-end design projects with exceptional attention to detail.Ability to communicate visually through excellent drawing ability, illustration, and descriptive writing.Industry knowledge and awareness of design processes and procedures supporting world-class leaders in design and innovation.Compensation and Benefits
