Reporting to the IT Director and collaborating with the Chief of Staff, Head of US Operations and Founders’ Office, this role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with our mission. Based in Las Vegas, NV, the position offers hybrid work flexibility with occasional travel to Sliema, Malta, and Melbourne to support cross-hub integration.
Tasks
- Project Leadership : Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, including network upgrades, cloud migrations, and cybersecurity implementations, ensuring alignment with Sypher’s strategic goals in tech, space, and philanthropy.
- Stakeholder Coordination : Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Network Engineer, Security and other stakeholders incl. C-Level) and external vendors to define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
- Risk & Resource Management : Identify risks, manage budgets, and allocate resources effectively, using tools like Asana or Jira to track progress across Las Vegas, Sliema, and Melbourne hubs.
- Agile / Scrum Practices : Lead agile methodologies, facilitating sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive efficient project delivery.
- Reporting & Analysis : Provide regular updates to the IT Director and Chief of Staff, analyzing project outcomes and recommending improvements for future initiatives.
- Global Support : Ensure IT projects support Sypher’s portfolio organizations, such as integrating systems for space tech investments or philanthropy platforms.
- Compliance & Quality : Enforce quality standards and compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR in Malta, US data privacy laws), working with the Network Engineer on secure implementations.
Requirements
Experience : 5+ years in IT project management, ideally in a tech-driven or multi-site organization. PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile / Scrum certification preferred.Education : Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven expertise in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (networks, cloud, cybersecurity) and experience managing cross-functional teams.Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage stakeholders at all levels, including Founders and portfolio teams.Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with global time zones.Attributes : Proactive, detail-oriented, and aligned with Sypher’s values of Innovation, Collaboration, Impact, and Integrity.
