About the Role

The company is looking for a talented Director of Audit who possesses a robust background in developing risk-based audit functions with a focus on global business units. As the Director of Audit, you will take charge of compliance efforts, lead financial, internal, and IT control risk assessments, and offer valuable suggestions for control improvements. This role is tailored for a professional skilled in change management and global implementations, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

The Director of Audit will be instrumental in recruiting and nurturing a team to achieve the audit plan and objectives. A proactive approach to managing relationships with global business counterparts, consultants, and external auditors will be essential. Candidates should hold a BA in accounting, finance, or a similar field, and an MA or MBA is preferred. An accounting certification such as CPA, CIA, or CFSA is mandatory.

The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of experience in audit functions with a global perspective, especially in life and annuity sectors. Experience in co-sourcing environments, building global teams, and mentoring individuals into leadership roles is crucial. Furthermore, candidates should have a proven history of collaborating effectively with C-suite executives and global boards, along with an aptitude for participating in board-level meetings and presentations.
