Accounting / Human Resources Assistant

Description

This is a newly created position that will provide assistance to our Accounting and Human Resources Departments. Duties will include assisting in the following areas :

• Accounts Payable
• Payroll
• Food, Beverage & Gaming Audits
• Inventory Control
• Financial Reports (Sage)
• Perform General Ledger Journal Entries
• Assist Applicants with online application process, answer questions and communicate openings and job requirements
• Initial screen / interview applicants - phone / in person
• Assist Employees with computer HR / Payroll system questions / issues (UKG Workforce)
• Enter / update data in HR / Payroll system
• Assist Employees with questions / issues (Insurance / benefits, rules / policy, etc)
• Participate in onboarding of new employees
• Participate in employee training sessions and events / activities
• Maintain / update HR reports
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Proficient with WORD and EXCEL
• Familiarity with Sage accounting system helpful
• Familiarity with UKG Ready accounting / human resources software helpful
• Strong organizational, time management, and customer service skills
• Knowledge / experience in account and human resources
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, exercise good judgement and discretion.
• Degree in related field preferred or HS diploma with 2+ years of relevant experience
