Job Description
Perform all responsibilities of Quality Inspection of production assemblies and spares. Responsible for generating Quality notifications for all non-conformances.
Ability to use predetermined methods and specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed products. Knowledge of various measurement devices such as calipers, scales, dial indicators, micrometers, microscope etc.
This role will incorporate predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.
Uses various measuring devices. Accepts or rejects defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Works from diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.
May supervise and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
As a Receiving Inspector, will work hands-on in a production setting and utilize lean manufacturing concepts to assess assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
What will you be working on?
- Inspect product from production, suppliers or other LM sites to validate the workmanship, dimensions and documentation conform to the drawings or product requirements.
- Disposition parts for test or outside inspections based on inspection plans or program requirements
- Reject and generate non-conforming documentation for hardware that does not meet product specifications or requirements
- Support other areas of Quality as required
- Other tasks as assigned
