Senior Facilities Landscaper

Responsible for the design and installation of plants and flowers in planting areas as well as overall general grounds maintenance of the central and Sugarhouse business districts. Supervises crews performing landscaping, mowing, planter maintenance, fertilizing and grounds maintenance. Recommends and takes action to remedy plant diseases and problems. Performs specialized tasks necessary for the proper planting, maintenance, and removal of trees, shrubs, and other vegetation on property owned and maintained by Salt Lake City Corporation.

As the Senior Facilities Landscaper, you will oversee crews ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining planting beds, managing plant care (weeding, trimming, fertilizing), and coordinating grounds upkeep (mowing, irrigation). The role involves operating and maintaining various equipment, while ensuring safe and proper use. This position is not eligible for a hybrid / work-from-home schedule.

The Public Services Facilities Division is an internal service that provides maintenance and repairs to City buildings such as City Hall, the Sorenson Unity Center, Smith's Ballpark, and fire stations. This division is also responsible for the security and maintenance of the downtown and Sugar House business districts. Applicants for roles within the Facilities Division can expect to directly provide or support the skilled trades and maintenance to the City's facilities to keep this important infrastructure running smoothly for its occupants.

$20.35 - $26.81 / hr based on qualifications and experience.
