JOB SUMMARY :
This position involves overseeing and managing the production operations of a metal roof support products manufacturing plant for the mining and tunneling industries.
The main goal is to ensure that the production processes meet customer specifications and ASTM-F432 (USA) Standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Preference for a Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from a College / University.
- Minimum of five years of supervisory / managerial experience in Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred experience in forging / stamping.
- Experience with ISO 9001 is a plus.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- Ability to understand instructions and the principles of production operations to meet deadlines in a high-volume production environment.
- Organizational skills to develop and implement production schedules and maintain inventory levels.
- Ability to develop and implement quality / safety procedures throughout production operations.
- Effective communication skills to present information clearly to personnel at all levels.
- Gathering and monitoring skills for decision making and problem-solving.
- Mathematical ability to manage production budgets.
- Familiarity with management software.
- Dependability and punctuality.
- A team-oriented mindset and the ability to lead.
- Physical ability to lift light / medium loads and sit or stand as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate plant production operations to ensure adherence to customer specifications and ASTM-F432 (USA) Standards.
- Develop and implement cost-effective procedures for materials, labor, and equipment utilization.
- Coordinate production schedules to maintain inventory levels.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality / safety procedures and standards.
- Coordinate machine and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Hire and train employees on machines, equipment, and production procedures.
- Submit required reports to senior management.
- Attend corporate training sessions to stay updated on innovative production procedures.
