- Unit : 8N PICU – 20 beds\n
- Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 28 / 2025 – End : 1 / 27 / 2026)\n
- Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 30)\n
- Hours per Week : 36\n
- Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (W2)\n
- Estimated Weekly Salary : $2200-$2360\n
- Patient Ratios : 1 : 1 or 1 : 2\n
- Weekend Coverage : Required\n
- Floating : Yes, to NICU and Pediatric Units\n
- Charting : EPIC EMR\n
- Scrubs : Provided for OR\n\nPICU RN Qualifications\n
- Minimum 2 years of recent PICU or CVICU nursing experience, including post-operative heart care\n
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Oregon or compact state (pending license accepted with application submitted)\n
- BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred\n
- Proficiency with Epic charting system\n
- Professional references required\n
- First-time travel nurses accepted with required experience\n
- Ability to float to NICU and Pediatric Units\n
- No background or license issues accepted\n\nPICU Nurse Responsibilities\n
- Deliver high-quality, family-centered care to critically ill neonatal, pediatric, and young adult patients\n
- Perform bedside procedures : central line and arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, intubation / extubation, CRRT initiation / discontinuation, ECMO cannulation / decannulation, chest exploration, and emergent operative procedures\n
- Utilize advanced medical equipment : Hamilton G5 Ventilators, DirectLink ICP Monitors, Artic Sun Targeted Temperature Management, Baxter Prismaflex Machines\n
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and social workers\n
- Float to NICU and other pediatric units as needed\n
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR\n
