Job Title : Senior Estate Manager
Location : San Francisco, CA (On-site with travel to other properties)
Salary : $300k+ with generous bonus and benefits
An UHNW family is seeking an experienced and highly strategic Senior Estate Manager to oversee operations across a multi-property portfolio consisting of seven luxury estates and four private yachts. Based in San Francisco, this role requires a seasoned professional with exceptional leadership skills, a systems-driven mindset, and the ability to set a gold standard of service across all properties. This is a hands-on, high-accountability position requiring travel and deep operational oversight.
The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of experience in estate management, private service, or luxury hospitality, and a proven ability to build systems, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless performance across high-value assets.
Key Responsibilities
Estate Operations & Oversight
- Direct all daily operations across seven private residences and four yachts
- Conduct regular inspections and implement preventative maintenance protocols
- Oversee complex systems including Savant, Lutron, and other smart home technologies
- Develop and maintain manuals, procedures, and estate documentation to standardize operations
Project & Vendor Management
Serve as point of contact for all major property projects, including construction, renovations, and new developmentManage relationships and contracts with vendors, contractors, and specialty service providersLead special projects such as property transitions, buildouts, and infrastructure enhancementsRepresent ownership in new estate development including large-scale residential and agricultural projectsArt, Antiques & Collections Oversight
Manage the care, cataloging, and insurance of fine art, antiques, and high-value collectionsOversee appraisals, acquisitions, and sales through auction houses and galleriesMaintain detailed inventories using platforms such as Collector Systems and Monday.comAdministrative & Lifestyle Management
Coordinate complex calendars, travel itineraries, and private aviation for Principals and extended familyPlan and support special events, including holidays, private dinners, and family celebrationsOversee administrative systems including invoice approvals, reporting, and documentationProvide occasional travel support and 24 / 7 availability during active periods or while the principals are in residenceStaffing & Service Standards
Recruit, train, and supervise a high-performing household team across all propertiesManage scheduling, payroll, and performance standards in collaboration with HR or family office teamsImplement consistent service protocols and lead with a high-touch, hospitality-first mindsetEnsure all staff uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion at the highest levelQualifications
