WINGS Program is looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated individual to fill the role of Accounting Clerk!

At WINGS, our mission is to provide housing, integrated services, education, and advocacy to end domestic violence. As an integral part of the finance team, duties range from the day-to-day of data entry and accounts payable, to large aspects such as grant processing and auditing.

Objective : Provides assistance to the finance team primarily in the areas of data entry, accounts payable, cash receipts, and grant and payroll support to improve overall processing of accounting data.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in processing of accounts payable, data entry, statement reconciliation and expense reimbursements.
• Assist with vendor inquiries, late fees, statement issues.
• Assist with cash receipts with data entry and classification.
• Assist with gift card processing.
• Support grant billing process.
• Maintain vendor files.
• Provide back up support to main office receptionist.
• Assist with preparation for audits.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience required.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Excellent data entry skills.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Self-starter : must be proactive and highly resourceful with the capacity to work independently.
• Self-motivated; after being trained, must be able to work with little direction or feedback.
• Attention to detail, ensuring all work is error-free and professional in appearance.
• Ability to be a strong team player; successfully interacting with varied personalities and temperaments.
• Proficiency in usage of Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Familiarity with Blackbaud Financial Edge, Financial Edge NXT preferred.
