Key Responsibilities :
Modeling / Projections of the Company's Business
Expected to be 80-90% of Employee's Time
- Work on various modeling projects of new and inforce business, using Milliman’s MG-ALFA projection software. This would include :
- Projects focusing on the design and implementation of new products. This work will involve working with the head Modeling Actuary and the Product Actuary.
- Projects focusing on modeling the profitability of currently sold products,
- Projects focusing on modeling existing run out business.
- Peer-reviewing the work of other, more junior modeling actuaries
- Communicate project status to management
- Participate in meetings as necessary.
- Address issues as they arise and take corrective action to assure timely completion
Other Financial Actuarial Work -
Expected To be 10-20% of Employee's Time
- Help out on special projects, as requested.
- Be involved in peer review of the Actuarial Department's work.
Qualifications :
- 7+ years of progressive experience working with life insurance products and projections.
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform / manage multiple functions.
- Ability to work in a collaborative mode with a wide ranging group.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Expert user in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in other Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products.

Skills :
- Experience with financial reporting and pricing a plus.
- Knowledge of MG-ALFA projection software a plus.
- Knowledge of PolySystems software plus
Licenses + Certifications :
Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent
