Position Overview
We are seeking an entry level Wood Framing Panel Designer to join our dynamic team. In this critical position, you will take ownership of all aspects of wood framing panel design, working at the intersection of technical precision and project coordination. This role offers the opportunity to develop deep expertise in advanced panel design software while contributing meaningfully to the evolution of our design processes and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
Design
- Participate in the comprehensive wood framing panel design across all project phases, from initial conception through completion
- Coordinate closely with project teams to plan, manage, and control accurate panel designs that meet structural and architectural requirements
- Participate in design coordination meetings
- Assist in the management of design changes and maintain detailed records and documentation of all modifications and design decisions
- Communicate complex panel design information clearly to stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and construction teams
Software & Process Development
Assist in development of advanced proficiency in panel design software and actively contribute to enhancing our software utilization and technological capabilitiesSupport the ongoing evolution of best practices and software solutions within the organizationTroubleshoot design challenges and propose innovative solutions that improve efficiency and accuracyAssist in the documentation processes and create standards that elevate team performance and consistencyMaterial Management & Documentation Support
Collaborate on the development and implementation of panel design for material management optimizationSupport project management operations including version control, document control, and drawing file managementEnsure accurate and organized record-keeping of all design files, versions, and project documentationHelp facilitate efficient information flow across all project stakeholdersField Support & Problem Resolution
Partner with field staff to clarify panel design information and resolve field conflicts regarding framing detailsRespond promptly to design-related questions and provide technical guidance that keeps projects on scheduleConduct site assessments or reviews when needed to understand field conditions and inform design adjustmentsContribute to continuous improvement by gathering feedback from field operationsAdditional Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
0-3+ years of professional experience in wood framing design, panel design, or structural design with CAD / similarExcellent organizational skillsStrong communication abilities - both written and verbalAbility to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyCore Competencies
