Per performance positions are paid $21.23 on an hourly basis, do not require City residency and are not eligible for employee benefits.

Position SpecificationsIncumbents in this position respond to calls for emergency medical assistance and provide advanced medical care to the sick and injured.

E.D.) certificate.Certification : Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association.

Licenses : Applicants must possess and maintain all of the following while employed by the City of St. Louis : a Missouri EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic) License and a valid driver's license.

Applicants who possess an EMT-P License from another state must obtain Missouri license reciprocity prior to appointment.

Candidates must provide their availability for shift and weekend assignments on the Availability Section of the Employment Application.

Copies of certification and licenses must be submitted upon request.When completing the Employment History and the Educational / Training History sections of the Employment Application, please be as thorough as possible when describing your education, training and experience relating to this position.

An additional one (1) point shall be added to the passing score of City residents who receive any other preference on a scale of 100 points.

City residents must have resided in the City for at least one (1) year at the time of filing their application to be eligible for the preference points.
