Med / Surg RN Job Details – Albany, GA

Job Title : Travel Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Albany, GA 31701 (Georgia nursing jobs)

Assignment Length : 17 weeks (Start : 11 / 3 / 2025 – End : 3 / 2 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour days (Start time : 06 : 45)

Guaranteed Hours : 48 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1680 - $1800

Employment Type : Travel Nursing (W2)

Openings : 3 Med / Surg RN positions

Scrub Color : Caribbean Blue

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Call Requirement : On-call for low census

Floating : Required to Ortho / Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units

Charting System : Meditech 6.1

Med / Surg RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact state (Georgia healthcare jobs)

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg RN experience and 1 prior travel nursing assignment

OR 4 years of Med / Surg experience without travel

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

ASLS or NIHSS certification (Med / Surg)

Ability to float to related clinical units as needed

Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

Flexibility with changing assignments during the shift

Strict 75-mile radius rule applies

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult Med / Surg patients

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Meditech EMR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed

Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process

Float to Ortho / Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units as required

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

Participate in rotating holiday and weekend schedules
