Technical Writer
Links Technology Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Technical Writer to fill an opening with an Information Technology company.
Responsibilities of the Technical Writer
- Develop and write a variety of technical content, including user guides, configuration guides, API documentation, and online help
- Partner with subject matter experts to gain a deep understanding of technologies and solutions
- Apply strong information architecture principles to organize content in a logical and easy-to-navigate way
- Continuously improve the quality, usability, and efficiency of technical documentation
- Experiment with innovative content formats, such as video tutorials and interactive content
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all documentation aligns with Company’s branding and messaging
Qualifications of the Technical Writer
- 5+ years of experience writing technical documentation for complex products and technologies
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality content on time and within budget
- Excellent writing skills with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- The ability to learn new technologies quickly and translate them into clear, concise language for a variety of audiences
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and content authoring tools a plus
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a collaborative working style
- Experience with Cisco products and technologies
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, cybersecurity, or AI / ML
- Experience with content strategy, information architecture, or user experience (UX) design
