Overview

Radioligand Therapies (RLT) Director, Ecosystem Lead – Northern CA. This is a field-based and remote opportunity supporting key accounts in an assigned geography. Novartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role and will not sponsor visas for this position. The Radioligand Therapies (RLT) Director, Ecosystem Lead is responsible for leading an enterprise mindset across the RLT regional ecosystem to meet and exceed organizational objectives. This role involves developing, orchestrating, and executing the RLT priority ecosystem customer engagement strategy by deeply understanding the needs of key priority ecosystem partners and the local healthcare ecosystem to create a frictionless experience for accounts and best support patient access and education. The role also leads collaboration of the Integrated Field Strategy Team (IFST) in a non-reporting relationship and involves building and maintaining key business relationships with C- and D-suite personnel."

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the needs of the target ecosystem archetype customers at all levels, from departments to C-Suite, and translate insights into action to anticipate trends and drive outcomes.
  • Develop and drive strategic plans, lead the region’s Integrated Field Strategy Team (IFST) to advance Novartis objectives and address account needs; collaborate on pre-launch / launch strategy and execution across HQ, account, and regional executive teams.
  • Build strategic customer relationships to advance engagement with ecosystem partners, identify and champion opportunities to better serve partners.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration with ecosystem C-Suite, D-Suite, and other non-HCP decision-makers; serve as the RLT oncology primary contact and partner with account leads for executive interactions.
  • Foster internal cross-functional collaboration, driving partners across functions to remove barriers and create solutions; lead communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and enterprise mindset collaboration.
  • Provide alternatives and solutions where challenges and ambiguity exist.
  • Own account performance across the RLT platform, identify opportunities to impact demand-generating functions, and influence cross-functional teams including sales and access.
  • Establish and lead effective communications between Novartis, ecosystems, internal account teams, customer engagement leadership, and other functions; anticipate and communicate strategic shifts that align with goals and encourage adaptive leadership.
  • Manage multiple highly critical and complex ecosystem targets.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, healthcare consulting, health-related technology, or other relevant organizations with large geographically dispersed sales teams; experience in at least two different cross-functional roles / experiences.
  • 5+ years’ experience in account management covering Academic Medical Centers, Integrated Health Systems, GPOs, and / or Large Community Oncology Networks.
  • 2+ years’ project management / leadership experience and successful translation of strategy into execution.
  • 2+ years’ experience leading complex projects requiring cross-functional and national alignment.
  • Recent US experience (within last 5 years) with deep understanding of the US healthcare ecosystem.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and lead cross-functionally in a matrix environment to build and drive strategic account plans aligned to customer and organizational goals.
  • Candidate must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance (approximately 100 miles from the territory border). Ability to travel 60-80% over a broad geography is required; must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, Buy and Bill, or other leading-edge healthcare experience in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Understanding of the macro-economic landscape in healthcare impacting operational, clinical, and financial decisions.
  • Other Functional Information

    Driving is an Essential Function of this Role. A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required to be qualified for this role.     Compensation and Benefits

    The salary for this position is expected to range between $176,400 and $327,600 per year. Final salary is determined based on relevant skills and experience and will be reviewed periodically. The compensation package may include performance-based cash incentives and eligibility for annual equity awards, depending on role level. US-based employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package including health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a generous time-off package.
