Overview

Membership Sales Consultant role at Chelsea Piers.

Role & Responsibilities

  • As an integral member of the Chelsea Piers Fitness team, build the club's high-quality membership base through a strong sales effort.
  • Adopt a relationship-based sales philosophy focused on information discovery.
  • Prospecting, lead generation, and building of referral business.
  • Sale of new memberships.
  • Mastery of all member opportunities within the club; connect new members to areas of interest to set them up for success and long-term membership.
  • Collaborate with a team of Sales Account Managers and a Membership Director to be successful individually and as a team.
  • Establish a strong sales pipeline, meet sales objectives, and collaborate with the team to achieve overall business goals.
  • Manage select events geared toward engaging the membership base and / or generating interest in the club.
  • Serve as a visible and active goodwill ambassador with members at select special events.
  • Deliver superior customer service with an aim toward member retention.

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated / entrepreneurial spirit with an outgoing, diligent, and affable disposition.
  • Superior customer service skills; excellent and clear communication skills, both verbal and written; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for fitness with a team-first mentality.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work on nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • 1+ years of Membership Sales experience, preferably in a high-end fitness environment.
  • Compensation

    Expected annual compensation : $75,000-$100,000.
