Job Title : Coordinator of Nutrition Services I
Job Summary : The Coordinator of Nutrition Services is responsible for assisting in the successful operation of the Nutrition Services Department. This position assists in the training of staff, assisting in new recipe development, filling gaps in staffing, assisting with marketing of the program and assisting with the hiring process. Additional responsibilities include overseeing a robust a la carte program at all sites and assisting with the growing and execution the catering program.
FTE / Work Schedule : 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, 48 weeks per year
Qualifications
- Minimum of a two (2) year post secondary degree or minimum of five (5) years of relevant school nutrition experience.
- Certified Food Protection Manager from the State of Minnesota within three (3) months of employment
- Minimum of five (5) years of commercial food preparation experience.
- Two years of school nutrition services preferred.

Salary / Wage Information : As per the CSS Terms and Conditions, $69,582 - $88,528 is the salary range. A generous insurance plan is including medical, dental, vision, life and LTD insurance. We also offer a 3.5% 403b employer match.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide training for staff as neededCoordinate operations with satellite sitesFill in for other kitchen managers as neededOversee and build a robust a la carte programConduct yearly required audits at each siteOversee the summer feeding program sites, including making necessary site visits and auditsAssist with menu development by working with the district chef and managers for feedbackCreate and update recipes in software program to ensure accuracyUpdate a la carte lists, including entering new products into software program and creating new posters for each secondary siteCost out recipes to ensure budget accuracyWork with staff on inventory control through proper forecasting, ordering and preparationKeep inventory items in software up to date and accurate, including pricingKeeps current on changes in the district's Nutrition Services policies and procedures as well as school nutrition in generalAlong with District Chef, oversee HACCP program for all sitesExecute special events and promotions for Nutrition Services to help drive participation and engage customersGrow, plan and execute catering program and eventsMarket program to increase participationOther duties as assignedSkills & Abilities
