Job Description
A confidential defense aerospace organization is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations supporting the plant. This role manages employees across multiple manufacturing disciplines and drives technical, quality, and schedule performance in a high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of manufacturing professionals to meet production, quality, and delivery goals.
Create and execute business plans, policies, and procedures to achieve operational objectives.
Acquire resources, manage suppliers, and drive continuous process improvements.
Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and manufacturing processes.
Foster strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Support off-shift operations as needed to meet program requirements.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
VantageClear Certification or equivalent (e.g., active U.S. security clearance, CMMC, or comparable defense-industry credential) required
3+ years of formal or informal leadership experience managing teams.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices strongly desired.
