Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant provides clerical support and performs reception duties that support general operations.

Job Duties :

• Greet and assist patrons, answer telephones, transfer calls, and take messages
• Represents the agency at community fairs and events, distributes fliers and links attendees to relevant programs
• Perform general clerical functions to assist managerial and program staff
• Handle financial and enrollment transactions for programs and services provided
• Enter data and provide requested reports and summaries
• Assist with managing the library, production lab, and other resources by issuing library cards, checking out books, helping visitors with equipment, and answering general questions
• Assist with retail sales, including sending promotional materials, filling backpacks, taking inventory, and preparing items for mailing
• Distributes mail
• Keeps resource flyers, and bulletin boards up to date throughout the building
• Provide background checks
• Conduct a daily deposit, handle payment transactions
• Provide technical assistance to families seeking childcare or referrals to community resources
• Ensures cleanliness of the kitchen and throughout the common areas
