Summary
Sambatek is currently seeking a Project Engineer to work with a team to execute water resources design for transportation and land development projects. As a project engineer, this individual will be responsible for the design and the implementation of hydraulic / hydrologic design, as well as developing and enforcing design best management practices.

- Work Location : Hybrid, flexible work arrangements
- Expected Compensation Range : $36.06-51.92 per hour (Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications)
- Pay Rate Type : Hourly with overtime rate of 1.5x base pay for all hours worked over 40 in a week
Responsibilities
Contribute to transportation and land development projects in preliminary design phase and plan development phaseMeasure, calculate, and tabulate quantities for bidding purposesParticipate in quality review processesPerform proficient CAD drafting in MicroStation, GEOPAK, and OpenRoads DesignerDesign and lead production of subtasks / tasks for a task lead or project manager as part of a collaborative teamComplete and review water resources calculations, modeling, and reportsMaintain existing client relationships by providing exceptional service and quality deliverablesProvide technical and professional mentoring to developing professionals (EITs / Graduate Engineers)Work within a collaborative team that promotes and fosters excellent communication, inter-departmental interaction, and respect for all project team membersRequirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering4+ years of relevant experienceMinnesota PE license in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering (or ability to attain within 6 months)Proficient in basic elements of hydraulics design and hydrology, preferably with some advanced design experienceExperience with Bentley MicroStation and GEOPAKProficient ability using OpenRoads DesignerExperience with hydrologic & hydraulic modeling (HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, XP-SWMM, GEOPAK Drainage)Experience in FEMA floodplain and flood risk analysis, modeling, and reportsFamiliarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standardsPhysical Demands and Work Environment
