Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. This position is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned tax professional looking to leverage their skills and experience in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The Senior Tax Accountant will have the responsibility to manage and monitor all aspects of our tax operations and ensure that our clients are in compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws.
Responsibilities :
The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for :
1. Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for high net worth individuals and corporations.
2. Developing and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize profit.
3. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
4. Researching and interpreting tax laws and regulations to provide accurate tax advice to management.
5. Assisting with tax audits and resolving any tax-related issues.
6. Keeping abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and advising management on the tax implications of business decisions.
7. Collaborating with other departments to integrate tax considerations into business operations and strategies.
8. Providing guidance and training to junior tax staff.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate for the Senior Tax Accountant position will have :
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a related field is preferred.
2. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning.
4. Proven experience in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for high net worth individuals and corporations.
5. In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and the ability to interpret and apply them in various business scenarios.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex tax-related issues.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
9. Proficiency in tax preparation and research software.
