Patient Access Representative
The Patient Access Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and accurate patient registration and admission processes within the hospital's clinic setting. They are responsible for greeting patients and confirming and / or updating information and demographics, verifying insurance coverage, and creating a positive and welcoming experience for patients. This position requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.
Pay Range : Minimum $21.00 Midpoint $21.00 Maximum $22.00. Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience : Required : Three (3) years' experience in healthcare registration, admissions, scheduling, or related customer service roles is required. Preferred : Five (5) years' experience in healthcare registration, admissions, scheduling, or related customer service roles is required.
Education : Required : High School Diploma. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or related field is a plus. Preferred : Associate Degree or higher.
Training : Required : N / A. Preferred : N / A.
Specialized Skills : Required : Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate and efficiently use electronic health record (EHR) systems and other software applications. Excellent communication skills.
Work Environments - Functional Demand : Sedentary - Very light energy level. Lift 10 lbs. box overhead. Lift and carry 15 lbs. Push / pull 20 lbs. cart.
