Deputy Clerk Of District Court
The North Dakota Court System is seeking a Deputy Clerk of District Court. This position is located in Bismarck / Mandan, ND and is full-time / regular.
Salary : $54,504.00 annually.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and two years of related experience. Valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required. If assigned recording duties, AAERT (American Association of Electronic Reporters and Transcribers) CER (certified electronic court reporter) certification or ability to obtain within one year of assignment is required.
The Deputy Clerk of District Court is responsible for performing and assisting other court personnel in duties associated with case management activities of criminal, civil, traffic, or other cases before the district court from initial filing to final disposition. They make a verbatim record of district and juvenile court proceedings, implement court procedures and rules, and ensure quality of court records.
Knowledge of general office procedures, grammar, legal terminology, court documents, court routines, and operations is required. Skills include effective interpersonal and customer service skills, district court operations, preparing and processing legal documents, reading, understanding, and applying statutes and legal procedures / terminology, written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in using required software programs.
The job typically requires grasping, sitting, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, feeling, reaching, and fingering. Work is performed in a comfortable office work environment, and some travel may be required.
