Job Summary / Description

FOX Carolina is looking for a motivated producer to join our award-winning news team. Producers are responsible for crafting informative newscasts with local, regional, and national content. This position requires writing, news gathering, meeting deadlines, collaborating with all team members, and reacting to breaking news at any moment. Our producers work with the Executive Producer and management on the vision each day through gathering information, deciding how content will be presented, and where it will all go within our newscasts / digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Create a newscast through writing, story selection, showcasing, and collaboration
• News gathered through making phone calls, following up on tips, reading through press releases, and confirming information with reliable, official sources
• Contribute to the station's overall news coverage (examples : extended breaking news situations, severe weather, elections, special reports)
• May include other newsroom tasks, as assigned.
