Senior Engineer - Transportation

Job Description

  • Effectively lead and manage activities and people on transportation civil engineering projects as well as manage project budgets.
  • Assure that designs are in accordance with federal, city and DOT specifications.
  • Prepare or oversee detailed engineering analyses, schedules, technical reports, etc.
  • Create and foster a project team culture of superior service for the customer.
  • Interact with clients, regulatory agencies, and the public as necessary for project completion. In addition, work on business development activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license in the applicable state you work or the ability to obtain license within 6 months.
  • 8+ years of experience in the design and construction of state DOT and county highway projects preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of project team roles and responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with groups both internally and externally.
