Computer Aided Design Technician

Associate CAD Designer- New Albany, OH

Schedule - Tuesday-Thursday in Office. Monday and Friday Remote. 40 hours Flextime

Position Summary :

Perform daily work activities with direct to moderate supervision. Work activities to be performed include : computer aided drafting to prepare maps, sketches, schematics and other engineering related drawings.

The position includes associated clerical work to properly manage and document the work activities performed, as per AEP requirements for the position, as well as performing other design and engineering work as defined or directed.

Specific Duties Include :

• Create, revise and maintain detailed engineering and record drawings, maps and sketches.
• Create, revise and maintain material and property equipment records.
• Obtain information required to perform work from verbal communication, sketches, marked drawings, listings, field notes, vendors' catalogs and technical reference manuals.
• Perform mathematical calculations required to accomplish assigned work.
• Operate reproduction machines, plotters and other duplicating equipment.
• Work with other organizations of the Company to resolve discrepancies and assure that work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
• Read vendors' prints, shop and other drawings and equipment operating instructions, and incorporate that information into the work being performed.
• Promote and support the Company's Accident Prevention and Safety and Health programs.
• Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and support the Company's Corporate goals.
• Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
