Flux Resources is seeking skilled Business Development Leads to join one of our clients full-time. We are seeking folks with a strong book of business in California in either the Transportation industry or Water Resource Industry.
Potential salary range for this position is $165,000+ depending on experience and location
Position Overview :
The Business Development Lead will spearhead efforts to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the transportation and water resources sectors. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the engineering landscape, client needs, and market trends. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in business development, and the ability to foster long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, client needs, and competitive landscapes in the transportation and water resources sectors.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including public agencies, municipalities, contractors, and engineering partners.
Lead the preparation of compelling proposals and presentations, collaborating with internal teams to tailor solutions to client requirements.
Work closely with engineering, operations, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
Monitor and report on business development metrics, including sales forecasts, pipeline status, and win / loss analysis.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development within the engineering or infrastructure sectors, with a focus on transportation or water resources.
Strong understanding of the engineering procurement process, including RFQ / RFP preparation and contract negotiations.
Master's degree in a related field.
