Job Description

Overall Purpose: Design, develop/code, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software solutions, ensuring efficient delivery processes and production support with a focus on automation and industry best practices.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Design, Development and Coding: Design and code software applications by applying various programming languages to execute development methodologies. (Software Engineers MUST design AND code applications at a minimum.) The focus in this particular role will be to make datasets and API Microservices in JAVA deployed to AKS using GitHub.
• Collaboration and Communication: Gather and review software requirements, provide estimates, create design specifications, and work with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.
• Testing and Debugging: Develop and implement automated test plans, validate test environments, data, and results, design and implement code fixes, and produce reporting.
• Maintenance and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve application configuration and environment issues.
• Deployment: Facilitate and support the software deployment process.

Job Contribution: An experienced professional with advanced, interdisciplinary knowledge, resolving difficult and complex issues using broad professional concepts. Guides others, applying advanced principles and company practices. Leads moderate sized projects (or parts of larger projects) with strategic value. Operates autonomously with frequent senior leadership interaction.

-Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.

-Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages.

-Create and execute automated test plans/strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting.

-In addition to Unit Test, responsibilities may include dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing. Supports applications and solves configuration and environment issues. Supports the software deployment process.

• SQL (Advanced skills REQUIRED)
• GitHub Code Repository Management with ability to create and merge branches of repositories.
• JAVA API development (Intermediate knowledge)
• SpringBoot and Spring Framework (Intermediate knowledge)
• Azure Kubernetes (AKS) containerized deployments
• Python and/or PySpark
• Palantir Foundry Skills (e.g. Workshop, Contour, Slate)/Python and/or PySpark/typescript
• Palantir Foundry AI Skills (AIP, Ontology, Functions)
• AI Prompt Engineering
• Co-Pilot
• Snowflake

Job Contribution:

Intermediate level technical professional. Subject matter technical knowledge within a discipline and sound understanding of ATT technologies.

Education:

Preferred Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Typically requires 3-5 years experience. Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role.

Our Senior Software Engineering, earns between $130,700-$196,100 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
